Goats – 578 thousand heads
Sheep – 348 thousand sheep,
Cattle – 75 thousand
Horses – 41 thousand
Camels – 6,000 heads have died nationwide.
In other words, goats accounted for 55.1% of total livestock losses and sheep for 33.2%. According to N.Ulziikhan, a senior statistician at the National Statistical Office of the National Statistical Office , Bayankhongor aimag has suffered the most in terms of deaths due to the loss of 434,000 head of livestock .
