CANDIDATES FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL OFFICE

CANDIDATES FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL OFFICE

The nomination process for the Presidential election of Mongolia will start on the 30th of this month. According to the law, the candidates will be announced between April 30 and May 2. Four political parties, the MPP, the DP, the MPRP, and the HUMAN, have the right to run for the presidency.

MAN’S DREAM TO HAVE A PRESIDENT ON HIS 100TH ANNIVERSARY

Former Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh will definitely run for the MPP. He has been out of the public eye since stepping down as prime minister on January 21, but is still actively preparing for the presidential election.

MPP Chairman U. Khurelsukh announced his candidacy for the 2021 presidential election during a meeting with members of parliament and governors of 21 aimags and 9 districts last March.

In order to make up for the losses of the last three presidential elections, the MPP, which is not a star in the presidential election, will, of course, choose the candidate with the highest rating and the most popular among the people. The MPP is stepping up preparations for the election to reclaim the three-time head of state’s seat on the MPP’s 100th anniversary.

DP SUPREME COURT TO “COVER” TOMORROW

The DP has announced that it will nominate a candidate for the presidency from among the party members, according to the Internal Election Committee. However, the DP, which is divided within itself, has yet to find a solution.

S.Erdene and Ts.Tuvaan’s DP was divided into two, and the party leaders were also identified separately. M.Tulgat has been nominated by S.Erdene and O.Tsogtgerel, a member of Parliament from Ts.Tuvaan, has been nominated as the DP chairman. Tomorrow, the Supreme Court will decide who will be the real leader of the DP.

In any case, former MP Ts. Oyungerel and former Prime Minister R. Amarjargal have announced that the DP will run for the presidency within the party. There are also speculations that Z. Enkhbold, the former head of the President’s Office, may run for president.

S.GANBAATAR WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CANDIDATE IF MEET WITH MPRP AND MPP

MPRP MP S. Ganbaatar has repeatedly stated his interest in running in the 2021 presidential election. There is talk of joining the MPRP or the MPP. If the two political forces unite, S. Ganbaatar, who brought the presidential election quota to the MPRP, will lose his candidacy.

This is because if the MPRP and the MPP run together in the presidential election, U. Khurelsukh will be nominated by the MPP and the MPRP will support it. In return, an agreement is being reached to nominate and support E. Batshugar in the by-elections in Songinokhairkhan district in October this year.

WHAT KIND OF “ORDER” HAVE YOU GIVEN TO A PERSON FROM CITIZENS?

HUMAN has launched a campaign to order the President. As part of the survey, about 20,000 people submitted their proposals or commissioned the President, and about 140 people were named by citizens. Among these 140 people are economist D. Jargalsaikhan and former MP Ts. Oyungerel.

“HUMANS will impose legal requirements on these 140 people. Candidates who meet the requirements of the law are subject to the political criteria of whether the HR and the Right Person are the platform and ideology of the electoral coalition. After a series of judgments, the remaining 140 candidates will be asked if they are interested in running for office. Candidates will be selected within the legal deadline, ”said D. Uurtsaikh, secretary of the National Labor Party and a lawyer.
