T.Dorjkhand: Mongolians living abroad transferred 561 million USD to their homeland
He asked the question “How to provide conditions and real support for people stranded abroad due to the pandemic” to talk about the problems of more than 200,000 people living abroad, even if they are abroad.
Recently, the Parliament and the Government have been talking more about human rights issues. Article 19.2 of the Constitution stipulates that in the event of a state of emergency or war, the Constitution may restrict the human rights provided for in other laws only by law.
In 2019, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund estimate that Mongolians living abroad remitted $ 561 million. This is currently equivalent to four percent of GDP. Many Mongolians contribute to their country’s economy.
But we are not talking about their problems. Mongolians living abroad have the strength and knowledge to develop our country.
Care should be taken to ensure the participation of these people. The government has announced that it will allow people to vote online in the presidential election. So give these people their rights. ”
