UBTZ has tested a heavy and long train
In recent years, the volume of railway transport has been steadily increasing. Especially during the Kovid-19 epidemic, most of our country’s exports and imports are transported only by rail.
The UBTZ team, which plays an important role in the country’s economy, is working hard to ensure the uninterrupted reliability of railway transport and increase its capacity. For this purpose, UBTZ for the first time piloted a train with 80 wagons weighing 7,500 tons from Tsagaan Khaalga station to Zamyn Uud station. The train will travel 36 hours to Zamyn-Uud station. UBTZ has never operated such a heavy and long train before. In most cases, trains weighing 4,000-5,000 tons were used.
This is the first time that a heavy-duty, long-distance train has been tested, which will improve wagon turnover, increase rail traffic, and meet the needs of customers in many ways.
